"Know Thyself... and do what you love". Lucien Jerphagnon

What is MBTI® ?

  • The Myers Briggs Type Indicator is a questionnaire based on Jung’s theory of personality. Carl Jung was a Swiss psychiatrist and contemporary of Freud.

  • Katherine Cook Briggs (1875-1968) and Isabel Briggs Myers (1897-1980) designed the first model, having researched personality variations between individuals for twenty years.

  • Since this first MBTI® version, the questionnaire has been constantly improved, adapted and updated. In the past fifty years and to this day, hundreds of researchers of all walks of life have worked on this questionnaire, publishing some 4000 scientific articles on the subject and contributing to strengthening its reliability and validity.

  • Translated into 30 languages, the MBTI® is currently the most widely used personality indicator worldwide (3,5 millions questionnaires processed each year).

  • Above all, it is one of the rare models in personality psychology to actually describe differences between people in a positive manner.

Why should I undertake the MBTI® ?

  • Personality at work is a concept that is rarely explored, and is therefore seldom taken into account when making career decisions. And yet, the adequacy between our personality and the requirements of our job is an essential factor for professional fulfillment.

  • The MBTI® is extremely useful to discover your professional personality and integrate this dimension into your reflection in order to make informed decisions about a professional project that suits you. Beside my professional knowledge of the tool, I am all the more convinced of its efficiency since I experienced it myself during my own skills assessment.

Answering the MBTI® questionnaire and benefiting from an interview to discover your psychological type will enable you

  • To acquire an enhanced awareness of yourself : to better understand the key aspects of your personality and your natural assets.

  • To better understand others : to appreciate the personality differences and learn to work in a complementary manner with people whose type differs from your own.

This increased understanding of yourself and of other people will be useful in several ways :

  • Personal development

  • Choice of orientation and managing your career

  • Improving your relationships at work

  • Better communication

  • Improvement of your organization

  • More flexible change management skills

  • And more…
